B illy Clyde Brumley, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away on April 16, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on March 19, 1944, in Monticello, KY, to his parents, the late Orville Roy and Lura (Frost) Brumley.
Billy attended Wayne Co. High School, Kentucky, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Mary (Jones) Brumley. Their love resulted in the birth of their son, Phillip Brumley. Billy was a loving father to his son, Phillip, who sadly predeceased him.
Billy was a NASCAR enthusiast and enjoyed attending local Indiana speedways. He enjoyed playing golf, boating, water skiing and deer hunting. Billy also loved his big truck!
Always a dedicated and hard worker, Billy worked at Chrysler Corporation, Goodyear Tires, and New Castle Engineering in New Castle, Indiana. He later moved to Fort Meade, Florida where he operated his own business repairing industrial air compressors.
He is survived by his sister, Faye (Leon) Smith; brothers, Don (Emma) Brumley and Everett (Retha) Brumley; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Billy's family takes comfort in the knowledge that he is reunited with his beloved son, Phillip, as well as his brothers Orville Brumley, Jr.; Melvin Eugene (wife Virginia) Brumley; Ernest (wife Imogene) Brumley; and sisters, Mary Elvena (husband Rodell) McFall; Marie Evelena Upchurch; and Thelma Ruth (husband Luther) York.
Billy's passing leaves a deep void in the lives of all who knew him. He will always be remembered for his jokes, mischievous personality, adventurous spirit, kind heart and his unwavering love for his family and friends. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery.
