Billy Michael Cummings

Billy Michael Cummings, age 74, of Byrdstown, TN, passed from this life on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on May 7, 1949 in Byrdstown to Stanley and Opha Moles Cummings.

He was of the baptist faith and was a member of Etter Baptist Church.

Bill was a retired truck driver and an avid motorcyclist.

He was a Vietnam era veteran serving in Thailand. He was past commander of the VFW Post 1096 for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Debra Sue Scott Cummings.

He is also survived by his 1st wife and mother of his oldest daughter: Faye Holesapple Dempsy.

3 daughters, Kelly Cummings Sweatman (Wayne Ball); Crystal Cummings Thompson (Chris); Jenna Cummings Riddle (Josh).

1 sister, Brenda Green

He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and 1 granddaughter-in-law.

He is survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Opha Moles Cummings,

his 2nd wife and mother of Jason, Crystal, and Jenna: Flonnie Lee Woodram Cummings,

1 son, Jason Michael Cummings,

3 brothers, Benny, Jack, and Gary Cummings,

1 brother-in-law, Ronnie Green

2 nephews, Jacob Cummings and James Franks.

Burial will be in Aaron Chapel Cemetery with Military Honors.
