He was the son of the late James Walter and Lora Ellen Flowers Guffey.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Guffey.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
His survivors include his wife, Ada Guffey
his stepdaughter, Melissa Carty
2 sisters, Barbara (Jessie) Tapp; Glenda Prater
1 brother, Bobby (Janelle) Guffey
2 step-grandchildren, Nathaniel Goodson; Anika Inman
3 step-great-grandchildren, Madeline Richmond; Makenlee Goodson; Peyton Oliver
Burial will be in Peolia Cemetery with Military Honors.
